Medicare only recognizes 1 of the 5 functions of the iBOT® Mobility System- Standard Function, as potentially "Medically Necessary" and therefore we currently do not accept Medicare Assignment. Since we do not accept Medicare Assignment, it is the consumer's responsibility to pay for the full amount of the product prior to taking delivery.
Following delivery we would support the consumer with their claim to Medicare. It is important for the consumer to understand that there is NO GUARANTEE that Medicare will make any payments and if they do make payment it is very likely to be LESS than $5,000.
If a consumer is a Medicare Beneficiary, and would want to pursue Medicare Coverage, it is essential that you understand that there are specific Medicare Reimbursement Policies and documentation requirements that must be met in order for us to assist the consumer with filing a claim. It is important that you inform us if the consumer is a Medicare Beneficiary and wants to pursue Medicare coverage because these requirements cannot be met retroactively.
