But with the INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Seat Cushion, you don't need to compromise--you get both. The INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® difference

The secret is in the science.
What makes the INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Seat Cushion with Vicair® Technology different from other air cushions on the market? Although traditional air cushions can be comfortable and provide good pressure relief, they can become useless when punctured. The INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Seat Cushion uses air--the best medium for pressure distribution--but traps the air in hundreds of small, flexible, Nylon fabric-coated cells, thus if punctured the loss of a few cells will not affect performance. Vicair® Technology is a system of individual cells that interact to continuously adapt and conform to the body's contours. The result--excellent pressure relief that may reduce the incidence of pressure sores and stability to promote better positioning and balance.

The 3-inch INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Seat Cushion has two front compartments to provide good leg support and reduce the load on the pelvis and hips. Cells in these compartments may be adjusted to meet individual pressure relief and postural support needs. For instance, by removing some of the cells in the rear chambers, the INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Seat Cushion can provide extra immersion if you need it. Reducing the cells in one of the two front compartments may provide better propulsion from one leg.

The 4-inch INDEPENDENCE® maxPRO® Deep Seat Cushion has three front compartments, instead of two, to provide additional leg guidance and support. The extra height also provides greater immersion and pressure distribution. The design is ideal for those with more pronounced postural asymmetries.
